AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc., an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company, focuses on developing and commercializing medicines for patients with cancer. It markets FOTIVDA, an oral, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor, which is used for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The company has collaborations and license agreements with AstraZeneca PLC; EUSA Pharma (UK) Limited; Biodesix, Inc.; CANbridge Life Sciences, Ltd.; Biogen Idec International GmbH; St. Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Limited; and Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was formerly known as GenPath Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and changed its name to AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in March 2005. The company was incorporated in 2001 and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. As of January 19, 2023, AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of LG Chem, Ltd.
