  • I love how these Variant appear in the most remote, random places. But either way Technology will continue to be used, rather the whole world goes into lock down. Technology will still be used and business will have to be conducted on some sort or fashion using Technology. So I'm bullish...on Tech stocks

  • AMD is a good hold now but you know how a single market can be slow, I came across Jason's comment here and I asked if I could pick his brains. He insisted I don't give up and get hands-on authentic strategies like mirror trading.Long story short, 2 years in mirror trading and I'm yielding 800K/yr.Thanks "sensei" as I call him.

      • Yes Toni, with trading, you can earn a lot of profit, and you can double your money in less than a month. Even if you are not the world's greatest trader, if you play it safe using the automated mirroring strategy, you can make three to five percent a day (or even ten percent or more on a particularly good day.

      • It's just a mommentary panick. But I wouldn't bet on physical retail / travel / hospitality... AMD, Zoom, MS, etc should be fine.

            1
        • Come on amd! Defeat intel! You are so close to it's valuation :) Metaverse deal all big companies are using EPYC processors AMD TO THE MOON!
          1
          • Why the sudden change of heart? 🤔 AMD will definitely cross Intel as soon as merger completes due to the new shares issued. The ultimate comparable’s Nvidia, not Intel.

          • Share price of 158 post merger = Around 250-260 bn market cap
            0
          • Next year eps with Xilinx likely to be around 5 imo. 40x PE = 200. 50x PE = 250. 100x PE (Nvidia atm) = 500. The year after around 8. 50x PE = 400. Buying AMD now could mean 2.5x+ your investment in 2 years. More if you buy xilinx as there’s still around 18% discount.

        • This is looking good. Following a market downturn, AMD held a newfound support pretty well, bounced back having the RSI cool off a bit and is trending higher. Only thing more I could ask is for the merger to finally go through so that we know the complete picture.

          • Vedant Hurdle Ratethank you for taking the time to explain to me. Another question: why the arbitrageurs need to cover if the deal doesn’t work out? What does it mean?
            0
          • Because using arbitrage at it fullest, you would shortsell AMD while buying xilinx. But if it bursts, people that thought they could cover their shortsells with amd shares obtained by the merger via xilinx conversion, would have now to buy AMD shares instead to cover their calls.

        • let it go back to 135 and buy again in December

          • Merger incoming anytime. Could go down short-term, could go to 180+. Rather be in than gamble with cheaper reentry

            • I rebought my partially sold amd shares in shares of xilinx rather, that gave/give you another 20-25% benefits in case your long and you believe into the successful acquisition of xilinx which is very likely :)

          • The icing on the cake is Intel ultimately falling around the same % lol

            • For a while i was holding both, but i understood its like going long and short at the same time xD

          • Amd held up really well, and the xilinx ratio narrowed to 17% too. Tomm may be a red day depending on macros, but 145.5 looks to be solid support. Either way when nasdaq rebounds we likely go back towards 155.
            2
            • I guess that’s how prices move: some think it’s a good time to short; and some think it’s a good time to buy. I wish i can be so sure one way or the other. Looks to me there’s a pause for now. The sellers sure have been out past couple of days.

              • AMD holding up well, but last run made it quite expensive - I bough 2 months ago at 100, but got stopped out at 145 end of October. I started to build up MU (at 70), which is cheaper. AMD has similar gowths rates as other makers and same gross/net profit margins, but its now around 2-3 more expensive. I dont expect this going much futher, at least not as much as other makers..
                1
                • Both are great companies. Mu’s historic issue’s been being cyclical and more commodity-like. But the shortage and demand for DDR5 may change that. However Amd’s upside, potential margins and TAM is far far higher through cloud DCs and AI/ML. Do not switch over your entire AMD for Mu lol.

                • I sold my whole position in AMD - was a good run 45% in 5 weeks.. Set an alert at 120 und 110 and will reassess then if I put in a limit buy order, if not other alerts will come up. MU I already added 2 additional positions, one more to go or being stopped out at 81 (at which I will have a gain, but hope to move the stop higher, but for that it needs to move lol)

                • Almog, focus. I'm not saying it's trash. But everytime you say good things, it goes down. So try bashing it and saying it's trash in the hopes it will actually make it go higher. :D

                • Vedant Hurdle Rateno today but if we start down trend for a period
                  0
                • I think 140’s our support, been tested twice already and our previous resistance. That said, we only go there if macros crash 5-7%+ from here. While possible, the bounce back will be fast. The merger being so close also acts as good support as dips are getting bought fast. Burning off some rsi here by consolidating at 145-155 would also be super healthy heading into the merger.
