  • its really matter of time but i think amd fair value should be 150-200 based on their growth and leadership in cpus/datacenters

    • It's only been a few short years since Intel had over 90% of consumer CPU market share and probably close to 100% of the datacenter market share. Make no mistake, they are losing rapidly. And as long as they don't decisively fight back, this is only going to accelerate. Intel went from being the only name in town, to being the better performer but lacking in price/performance, to parity and now to being the budget option (or the only one when you can't find the AMD chip you want). Make no mistake, AMD is now leading the game. If Intel doesn't get its act together, AMD will completely dominate at their current pace in a few years. Being a PC enthusiast I don't want any of the two companies to be firmly ahead, a competitive back and forth is best for consumers by all measures. But as an AMD investor, I do like where things are heading, if I'm honest.

    • haha still leading?? lol google, amazon, fb all are using amd epycs ur intel will die slowly , if youre blind or csnt read amd has gained a lot datacenter share from intel every quarter, i predict in couple years amd is bigger player in datacenters than intel :)

        • well historically, earnings doesn't push AMD up much. Don't get your hopes too high. If you are not going long on AMD...go home.

          • I am in long if need be. Was thinking this will be at $100 by end of year but the optomism has me excited. I bought 3 different lots ranging from $74 to $83.

              • They may be waiting for AMD's earnings. Or this may just be it and AMD will go on at this range for a while longer. Time will tell.

            • AMD has now final confirmation after the disappointing earnings report of Intel to jump over as no threat from their side is approaching…. We shall see $95
              1
              • Skyrocketing
                1
                • What people don't realize is that these market share/sales drops don't seem huge for Intel, but they actually are a pretty big deal considering their prior market dominance. AMD was pretty much non existent in the datacenter 2 or 3 years back. The fact that Intel keeps bleeding market share at that rate means AMD's market share is multiplying, not increasing by the same percentage that Intel's dropped. It wasn't a 50-50 split, it was a 99-1 or something. This is very very bad for Intel and very very good for AMD.

                      • Arif trashing AMD because he is salty his INTc bag getting heavier. What a bum
                        1
                        • Intc record quarter sales in IOT segment , datasegment didn't drop too much in comparison with Q1, Amd is dead right now prepare yourself for -7% at least.
                          8
                          • I've seen your posts in the Intel comments as well. If you think Intel is in a good shape right now, you need to rethink your approach, man. Intel may perform better in the future, but right now they are getting hammered left, right and center. The fact that consumer sales rose only 6% during the current market is bad, most people who bought Intel were either seeking a bargain or could plainly just not find AMD chips on sale. Their 11th gen CPUs are laughably bad. And then there's the big pain point for Intel, datacenter. As long as they are bleeding sales there, their outlook will continue being terrible, and I don't see the delayed Sapphire Rapids platform competing with AMD's Genoa, let alone anything that comes after it. Alder Lake may prove good, but it'll also probably be too little too late and not enough to challenge Zen 4 or even Zen 3 with 3D V-cache.
