    • Intel is a disaster.. once AMD earnings would be published at Monday night… you can expect this to boost further than $122 most likely to $130

      • All the money from these who sold Intel and caused it to drop by 11% will raise AMD value eventually.

        • For long term, answer is yes. For short term, this wave may run out of steam and due for a small pull back. Anyway, it is just my personal opinion. Love this stock!

              • stonk guy Well, I was being sarcastic and what you said was exactly my point. There was absolutely nothing surprising about this. Intel is failing to grow in a rapidly growing market segment. It has stagnated for too long and is trying to catch up to AMD. The road ahead is going to be hard for them. I want Intel and true competition to come back, but as an AMD investor, I'm happy. Every dollar an Intel investor loses is going mostly to an AMD investor's pocket. :)

                      • Guys, how will be the trend today considering Intel's earning at closing of day ? Any news about merger ? I read on Barron's about analysts predicting a solid earnings from AMD next week. Do you think I can add some more ? :)
                        1
                        • Should rally till Monday, I think we’ll br 120s pre-earning. The risks are Intel pulling a miracle in data servers or macro dragging everything down. Earnings will also 99% be a beat, but may sell off regardless. What you could do is maybe add some today if it dips and then sell some covered calls just before results. Or sell puts and either earn the premium or take delivery.

                        4
                        • the semiconductor is saturated and fragmented between many players (appl, amazon, etc; all have started making hardware with various purpose in mind). thinking that AMD will take over the entire market is ludricous, thats why elevated P/E. low return in this stokc at these levels long term in my opinion.
                          9
                          • what mskes u believe that amd doesnt improve eps at all? their profitability will raise together with more datacenter msrket share
                            1
                          • Semiconductor satured? Lead times are still easily around 26weeks and higher in the dc/server segment. But if you say so, Oh boy, I guess I gotta call AMD and tell them to shut down business ASAP. Btw saturation, limited growth, thats what they said about FANGAs years ago, and look at them these days. But it's clear that the current growth rate at AMD is not forever sustainable. It will still stay like this for at least 1-2 more years (TSMC is increasing steadily AMDs wafer quota, and AMD can afford more and more with increasing liquidity, and they will sell every single chip dont worry). Demand will surpass supply especially in the server segment for a long time still. And as long AMDs market shares are still semi-neglectable compared to others like Intel, fragmentation will rather cut down bigger trees than directly effect smaller players. Fragmentation is a classic top down effect. Secondly, its true that the consumer market is expected to cool off very soon, but as long the server market is far away from being saturated, growth will sustain for quite some time. the server market is the main margin driver not the consumer market. So in the end, I would be rather worried about bigger companies like intel, that get largely affected by irreversible market market fragmentation and increased competition. A lost customer like apple for intel, usually will be irreversible gone.
