New Home Sales measures the annualized number of new single-family homes that were sold during the previous month. This report tends to have more impact when it's released ahead of Existing Home Sales because the reports are tightly correlated.

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.

February going to be a great month for INFLATION!  Market today reminds me of the start of a CHINA PANDEMIC. Market stayed BULLISH and found ways to reason it out. 800K JOB growth in 2 months, housing permits surged, builders confidence up 3 months in a row, JOLTS report remains at 10.5 Million.  Must be an anomaly? We just created a new historic event, Bank crisis at a Fed Funds Rate historically that is at AVERAGE! never had that before. It is called a mindset for last 40 years of disinflation. Combined with greed and easy money and lax rules we have party time in the 1q920's. Late late 20's that is. GET IT!

It looks like we are finally getting up to speed with building houses... Demand is strong with millenials purchasing new homes... Number of available existing homes are on the rise..... Good news all around... I think we are at a point where demand and supply will likely stabilize and price will not continue to rise....
