Guys please take a look at the description for the news... this part - A higher than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD. and look upon the result is green right? so it should be higher than expected reading positive / bullish for usd... take a look at US dollar index now = try to higher and Eurusd try to lower. Correct me if i am wrong.

Is that right that a higher than expected value here should be considered negative/bearing for the USD? That seems backwards.

it should be: A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.
