baht deeply over bought into dollar support zone at 34.80. Constitutional referendum upcoming in August. Buy $ sell Baht. . . Thailand rapidly losing competitive status in deep Asia.. . Heavy public debt.. . I am buying USD$ vs Baht BIG BIG BIG!!!!. . 40 years currency trader BTW. . . Yes, will stop out below 34.80 but buy again near 34.20 if near referendum day. Don't think it will happen but always a risk trader with stops.. . JMHO . .

You forgot the most recent news, The Thai King, a leader that brings unity and stabilization is gravely ill. Baht will be dump on speculation on his health.

The pair is in a medium term trend down. Keeping in picture last Month(March 2016) bearish close, Momentum likely to continue till 33.40 area.

Quite baffled by the lack of weakening currently.. Massive stock market withdrawls, trade deficit, not sure about bonds.. It did weaken a lot earlier in the year, but I expected more now.

Looks like the upward move may be over for the US$ vs Baht as October is setting up for a monthly reversal

September is a critical month. If closes above 36.00 at the end of the month expect a move to 38.00.. . However, watch out for a monthly reversal

If the May breakout above 33.00 is extended in June then 36.00 is then likely (2009 highs)

That said, if Yellen raises rates and Greece goes into meltdown, your prediction will be about right.

Deputy Governor of the BOT said this week he does not think further rate cuts would help anything.. I expect it to stay around 33.5 for awhile.

As the U.S. economy strengthens and the rest of the world pauses or heads for economic turmoil, the dollar is strenghtening against most currencies. With U.S. interest rates set to rise over the next 12-18 months, a stronger dollar is assured.

I did my US income tax report recently, and had to report all interest income.. I had $40,000 total in two "interest bearing accounts" in the United States for the entire year.. The total interest received was less that $7, barely enough to have lunch at McDonalds one time..
