ONS Sas. Look, this is one of the reasons why puting all the eggs in one basket is not a good idea. In this case the eggs would be money, and the basket would be PEMEX, or the Dos bocas refinary. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/17/ford-invests-1-billion-in-german-electric-vehicle-plant.htmlThe world is moving away from oil.

DEAR MODERATORS. I and others are tired of ONS Sas propaganda in a site that is about investment and finance. We don't have anything against mexicans or Mexico, nor are racists. We love Mexico and are worried by the turn this amazing country has taken because of the victim attitude of its leaders, pretty much like every other populist country that follow Maduro and his deplorable ideas. I won't tolerate liars and ignorants and I will always denounce them.

ONS Sas you did read that in his opinion, the success of Mexico depends on the capital and advance technologies provided by the US and Canada right? So if your predictions that the US is in bad shape and its economy will crash and burn, then how can you expect them to provide such tools for Mexico to be one of the most successful economies by the end of the decade? Now if you understood something different, then i would encourage you to read it again, and practice some reading comprehension.

Ok ONS Sas. Here are some numbers from Mexico. Mexico’s public debt went up to a historic 52.2%. The GDP Shrank 8.5% in 2020, according to CONEVAL poverty rose around 9 million more people. Unemployemnt rose from 3.5% (2019) to 4.7 (2020). Note. All these numbers are from SHCP. As you can tell remmitances and surplus are one part from the whole economy of a country, but they dont tell the whole story.

Poe, its a waste of time to try to educate someone that has been indoctrinated in the idea “ if youre not with me youre against it” . Its a shame that this forum turned a place that promotes ignorance, and a state’s political propaganda. Long gone are the days of sound advice and open ideas.

2020 Mexico made 113 Billion us dollars trade surplus with the USA. surrprisingly  11% more surplus in a covid year than previous year 2019.  In summary Mexico Peso is extremly undervalued will correct automatically. Happy trading

I think that trade surplus is precisely because the currency is devalued the moment the peso goes to 10 it won't be worthwhile to export from mexico anymore and that surplus will disappear

Jose Manuel Bermudez  absolutely you are right, Mexico also want to see this trade imbalances correct with the US, but wont happen and trade surplus only grows every month for Mexico until peso gets back to 10

How silly you are! All those dollars being 'printed', Mexico and other countries eat like beasts. Haven't you jumped with joy when the remittances go up? There is a consequence to that too, only that with your victim attitude you don't see what is really happening.

USD сheerleader, you just do not understand fundamentals. Durindg all those lockdowns world consumed goods as usual, but production was limited. So now countries who produce are in favor. 2/3 of US "economy" is consumption, so guess where USD will go. Down to 10!

ONS Sas And as your analisys youre completely wrong. Im not Poe, and again. I dont hate Mexico. Im a mexican living in Mexico. Im one of those other 90 million mexican that didnt vote for your master. What i do hate is that Mexico is being ran by a dinosaur using the same tactics used by the party he “hates the most” (PRI). And having an army of blind brainwashed followers like you. That defend the regime like rabbid dogs without even using common sense.

Marcos , I don’t understand why you bring your political opinion into this , the hard fact out of this site is that a lot of investors are looking for a non dollar haven; real state , gold or other currencies .The US printed and will continue to print trillions of dollars wo economic support, at some point the market will correct for these facts and the dollar will go down accordingly, México in this particular case did not print Pesos and both economies went down and will go up after the pandemic close to their baseline but the dollar will be more devaluated
