This thing is done...sigh....say bye bye to enjoying the benefits of living / visiting MX economically. If you're teleworking in MX maybe beg to be paid in pesos. 🤣😅😭
If anyone has been working remotely in MX and getting paid in $s...the solution is simple. 2 easy options...take that savings account you've amassed in converting dollars into peso and earn 11.5% right now. This can be done with pagare or simple AAA bond funds. I'm personally doing this right now. Second, take those pesos and invest in a dollar based trade account like an interactive broker or etoro etc...We had amazing peso appreciation so getting that back into dollars buying low..and right now, start DCAing into something like TLT...because when the economy collapses with all these rate hikes, bond will skyrocket with 20 to 50% gains as they have to lower interest rates to get the economy out of recession...just like they have done time and time again.
Reached 17.99 and now is getting back down
If USD is weak and it pains you, invest your MXN. A lot of platforms like GBM are giving a decent rate nowadays. If USD gets stronger again, yeah more MXN to you. Having the comment section as "go up!" or "go down!" isn't that productive if you ask me.
Keep going down!
JUST STOP GOING DOWN USD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UGH!!!!!! THIS IS MAKING ME FURIOUS!!!
WHY DOES IT KEEP DROPPING AND DROPPING!!!!!???? GO BACK UP!!
SERIOUSLY, GO UP USD!!!!!!!!!
This is unacceptable. Almost reaching 18 for the first time in nearly a month and then it drops significantly again, and keeps dropping. ABSOLUTELY, UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I'm going to have to earn in pesos from here on out.
Gulp. Super peso is here to stay. Might become a reserve currency if this trend continues for the next several years.
Keeps dropping, and dropping, and dropping. Soon, it's going to be in the 16's, then eventually the 15's, and it's going to keep dropping. And this means Mexico is going to get less and less affordable for those earning in USD.
High interest rates, overvaluated exchange rates, gov deficit rising, expensive exports, cheap imports, no real economy growth in the last 4 years and debt rising. Any other ingredient missing for the storm to come?
expats spending in dollars instead of in pesos.
And Mexico is only going to get more and more expensive for those earning in USD because it looks like the superpeso is here to stay.
Now that the US is moving away from China, even with expensive export I can almost bet that the amount of export will double in the coming years and the peso will only get stronger
It's never going to 18 anymore. Sigh
In fact, the pair is going to keep dropping :(
And Mexico is going to get more and more expensive from here on out
Guess it's never gonna go to 18, ever.
gulp
STOP GOING DOWN USD!!! GEEZ. WE NEED TO GET BACK TO 18
come on go down
Bro stop flooding
The stronger the peso gets, the more expensive Mexico is for those earning in dollars.
Seriously, stop dropping so much so fast. Geez.
Let's get to 18, come on.
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, STOP GOING DOWN USD!!!!
Seriously??? go up, not down. Let's get to 18
