U.S. Jobless Claims Rise as Labor Market Recovery Remains Choppy. Virginia, Kentucky and Georgia led states with the biggest increases in unadjusted claims from the prior week.... The pandemic peak was revised down to 6.149 million initial jobless claims in regular state programs from 6.867 million suggesting the extent of the recovery to date was not as strong as had previously been thought.

funky cold medina  The importance of such data adds to the overall picture of US economic performance. Revised jobless claims are a key data metric released at regular intervals. Ignore the data at your peril.

AIM Investor Journal  time and time again I have seen the news/data corroborate what the charts are already showing.. .I find it is important to have an awareness of the news/data coming out but I do not base my trades on it -- I see many people get trapped doing that as I have myself in years past.  Trade what you see not what you think or someone else tells you.  The news is the most manipulated thing in this whole circus!
