  • YES! 800 target hit, close 30% of my short @1260 , next lets see 750 will close another 30%. CHEERS!

    • that's severe greed

    • Up to 60 million tons of grain could be stuck in Ukraine by the fall if the country continues to face blocked exports, Zelensky has said.

  • This correction has been insane. Im assuming it touches 750 at this point.

    • Huge upside now.
      2
      • pass the cr..ac..k pipe if you think this was anything more then the big boys selling short hard and buying options to whiplash the prices

        • also wheat is only down 30 cents today not 75
          1
          • Any news for more sanctions against Russia and Ukraine being bombed more is serious upside. Russia will destroy Ukraine. Looks like liquidation happening. Then the bull run again to come.

            • remember ww2 had way way way more farmers. they didn't have the power they do now.
              0
            • 1929 the price tanked, took until after WW2 to hit the levels seen in the 20s, and that was with unpresidented economic growth

            • Now is a good opportunity to close out short positions. Their might be some downside left to come, but it's probably not worth the risk. Any short postition taken now is a play for a stock market catastrophy. Could be a good play, but there are probably better ways to short the stock market than shorting wheat. There are a lot of bullish fundamentals for wheat medium term after Friday's USDA report (big surprise on how low the combined acres were for the 'big three' crops).

          • I think people who short it aren't farmers.
            0
            • Typically producers buy short contracts and consumers buy long contracts. This is how the farmer pre-sells their crop and a flour mill pre-buys their supplies. When a farmer goes long they don't buy long contracts, they just forego buying short contracts.

            • So, in general, it's more correct to say: the prople who go long aren't farmers
              0
            • when a farmer pre sells they are shorting the market as they don't have the product yet. The buyer then writes a short contract to sell to the market paper trading
              0
          • It's always difficult for people who aren't producers or consumers to understand commodity markets. A lot of BIG money was chasing an inflation hedge without hedging their long positions. It's somewhat amusing to see how emotional the "professional" funds are getting. Jeeze Louize; Investing 101: keep emotions out of the equation. These guys making the big bucks aren't worth the paper their daddy printed them on. Just like the central bankers.

              • Ya farmers will be the poor people now
