China went for the currency option instead of new tariffs. That will surtenly make Trump go all the way with the new $200B tariffs.

Very exciting levels now, make or break. It looks like we have broken the roof in the trendchannel which started 28th of may, but we had a false break to the downside 19th of june, so there will be interesting to see if this breakout to the upside is valide or false. Today and early next week will confirm direction.

I think a different animal here, although we are at tail end of harvest, overseas battling drought and areas with too much rain reducing acreage.

If harvests are big enough to bring prices down, what's the possibility of wheat being dragged down with it?

Until we take out 509-509.5 area, be careful on the long side. Very good possibility wheat will get dragged down when harvests come in, but overseas has problems with theirs. I am more of a technical trader, which means I play both sides of the market, the chart tells me what to do.

Looks like it's to early for a breakout to the upside at this moment. For the longer run, next 2-3 years, the price will at least double, despite a stronger USD coming in the same periode...This will emerge caused by a severe shortage of agriculture products, which will be hit by weather and climate challenges, like we see in Europe this summer. Coming 2-3 years will be worse, all over.

agree, northern Europe is quite bad currently, compared to most parts of the world we're used to a very stable wether due to the golf stream, things now are very different, . once the climate narrative starts to grow on the financial world, things will be different, . timing is -as always- everything, . Hopefully last days have been a healthy pull back and we set of higher from now on, . could however take months or even a year. . That's accurate trading advise for you:-). I'm long right now.

In Scandinavia, they are butchering their livestock caused by shortage of food. Livestock-food prices has skyrocket caused by the drought. Scandinavia and other parts of Europe this year, more regions next year, and thereafter the rest. Prices twice or tripple as high as today will occure. No doubt. Not caused by global warming, but climate changes in the opposite direction. Perhaps hard to believe, but you'll see.

Hi Mary, well nothing is imminent but it is clear that Europe's harvest is terrible. Meanwhile, places like South Africa are seeing farmers flee as reverse racism reigns and farmers are even killed for the color of their skin. Those who take those farms are often unable to even continue production minimally. Longer term we are looking at deficits for many crops but especially wheat imo

It is difficult to profitably grow wheat at these prices. Equipment, land rent, and chemical costs have increased while the price of wheat fell. As a farmer I know I don’t want to spend any extra money until I see prices improve some.

In the long run supply/demand will move this higher IMO, however, with this flying dollar, things can go either way.
