The Fed's minutes from the January meeting, set to be released on Wednesday, will return focus to monetary policy, and the prospect of aggressive rate hikes ahead.

Are you looking at the same 1-year chart as me? If so, might I suggest 1-800-Contacts.

I don't think that gap needs to be filled for now (but all gaps fill eventually). It's a weak gap: it occurred over the weekend; and there were all kinds of opportunities to trade at prices in the gap last week.

It should go down to 550 though (fundamentally speaking). These prices are way out of line unless we see a drought for safrina corn in SA or upcoming NA season

worldofcorn.com is an interesting website. Humans don't eat it (this is field corn not sweet corn). In the US about 1.5% of production is used as food, but there is another 8% used to make sugar/starch/burbon. It's primarily for feeding animals and producing ethanol to blend with gasoline.

$7.75 is a number. Last year's high . It should provide a target. You can give 10 reasons why it should and shouldn't it it. . We hit that price last year because I believe sometime in 2023 we ll see $10.00. All records can be broken. . We ve done it for over a year in the sto k market. Water and food very important. Should be interesting. A man will work a whole day to feed his family. So it's been written.
I am calling your bluff: no self respecting farmer would chose the name "john deere". Farmers are stupid because they bet on the weather. BTW, I am a stupid farmer; I have bet on the weather may times. If you weren't a poser, you would know this.

yep poser. lol. and go ahead and bet on a drought. after this year droughts mean nothing with the crops that we raised on zero rains. you really are stupid

I may be stupid, but at least I can read. I assume you are talking about last year's drought (2021), which did not affect major corn production areas in NA where it was wetter than normal in many cases. Maybe you are from Brazil where drought did seriously affect corn production last year. That would explain why you can't read english (looking back at my comment it seems pretty clear that I don't recommend betting on a drought or any other weather before it happens). The US is starting this year from a dry position though. 2022 could be a repeat of 2012.

Last year's high $7.75 once we take that out we should run to $10.00.

July 2021 corn is a different commodity than March 2022 corn. March corn made a high of 640.625 eight months ago. 775 is not a very useful technical at this point.

640 is the price to watch for currently. Maybe if North America has a drought this summer 775 could have some significance, but even then it will be of minimal use. The all time high of 840 would be of more significance at that point.

Russia doesn't buy corn. They sell it, but not very much.

Russia doesn't even have any money to buy corn. Russian GDP hasn't increased since 2008. It's a country that becomes more and more irrelevant every year. Thanks Putin! He's even worse than American presidents

what should we do with corn in this time? long and hold?

Jan 23, 2022, 05:41
Buy and hold in the next 1 1/2 years we should see $10.00s this is only an opinion and shouldn't be used as financial advice.
