Today we pass 100 and up from there. 105 before the month ends.
the US biggest packing plant that processes 6000 head a day caught on fire. won't be open for 4 months. no where to slaughter beef. this will hold beef down for a while.
We're multi year low already and for the last days it's been stable, seems like shock is over, no reason to drop more?
totally agree with you.
So where's the jump? :)
I agree. This should be bottom.
Here it is.
Well, it went up really fast but dropped during the day. Maybe tomorrow we can see a move to the upside without dropping back to 98.
Not much movement today, hovering around $99, when we should be 110+
Nothing is guaranteed but I am sure that those who buy now can make decent money in a short period of time. At least bottom can't be much lower and won't last long.
Or we’re building a bottom because the issue with Tyson will be temporary and other plants can take some as well...
Agree
https://www.bovinevetonline.com/article/tyson-months-not-weeks-rebuild
yes it could be. Anyway I don't see future in this. Plant based food is going big already
In future probably yes but that takes time, years to reach mainstream, it needs to be like real meat, taste like it and be as cheap as well. Maybe 10 years...
... I'll take a juicy ribeye and spinach over spinach and spinach any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
Corn 360.62 LC 99.40 FC 134.49
Corn 367.75 LC 99.237
Feeder cattle is up +4%
 Was surprised as well.
Live cattle will follow. Lean hogs are up too, over 3%. This is a good moment to long if you haven't.
Time to buy! Will go up fast, China talks, tariffs postponed.
the bottom could be @ 94
 So low, really?
If it drops I'll add another long. Thanks.
Almost 3% drop on opening, what was that about?
I think some commodity sympathy with corn. Ag report showing some farmers got a little more corn in the ground than initially thought and corn sells off pretty hard.
Will also note Tyson had a fire at its Holcomb, Kansas meat processing plant on Friday and the plant is shut down indefinately.
Thank you.. We're almost back at June price... wonder if it stops there.
LE 107.775 ..
Corn 399.50
Why is this falling so much?
Today was a nice move up 105,5+ but it's almost all sold off
Looking at Corn price, it's been falling and seems like there is no end, weekly Corn chart is very bearish. Corn was 460 but now only 396 and seems 380, 360 could be next.. Also, now we can rule out China buying Corn...
.. I've been seeing that. That should help ease this "rush to market" and live cattle sales at the auctions and feed lots. Current contract though is just going to be range-bound in my opinion.
LE $109.162 ...
bloomers are not allowed to touch a sacred jappy cow
https://invst.ly/bb-bq ... weekly intervals.  For bulls and many of my ranching friends, I really want to see price recovery of the 200 week simple moving average.
Cattle could remain under pressure near-term. Ranchers looking at corn prices at 5-year high, so feed this winter costly. Selling to yards as quick as they can for those that are not able to feed with crop of their own. Some relief may be seen in Dec contract $112.80 at time of this posting. May be a buyer $110-$111.50
... I think we see current month rang 99-116.
Really, so low, I have been going long since 104, last buy 108?. 102 would be sweet spot to buy but that's so deep drop (June low).
... I do hope I'm incorrect then. it would not be the first time. I am flat Cattle so I do not have any skin in the game. I really just checked in here as i was reviewing wheat, corn and cattle charts while speaking with a farmer/rancher in NW Kansas. it has been a tough year for cattlemen in that part of the country this year, starting with calving season as first calf hit the ground as temps plummeted to -25 f. Wheat crop is healthy and harvest looking good. very cool and then wet spring, some unable to get their milo, or corn in the ground for this fall. by no means is this report country wide, but the charts of both cattle and corn seem to confirm some of what I've heard.
LE $107.188
Long is calling - bul spread made no move on this drop at 15:41 - it means i am bullish!!!
7/16/19 Aug was $108.225 Oct $109.25 Dec $113.725.
We're we are heading, nice spike yesterday but weak today?
live cattle has bottomed
Are we starting to go up or too soon, should wait till August?
DUMP
with corn and grain overdone I think we will begin seeing stability in cattle.
too much supllies
vegans keeping the price low lol
so weak, it is BBQ season now. Why still so low?
Is it time to go long yet?
