Will Natural Gas Ignore Mother Nature?

Natural Gas seems to be preparing for a surprising move following today's natural gas storage report. I expect sudden bouts of selling despite positive fundamentals, with the post-announcement trend moving in the opposite direction after the data is released.

I find the announcement of less withdrawal for the week of January 26 has already been factored into the price at the close, despite the fact that gas stockpiles during this winter are at the lowest end of a five-year range. Secondly, contradicting weather reports result in speedy moves in futures prices, proving to be a game changer. Every fundamental is being ignored.

Historically, it has become a convention that if natural gas prices drop substantially before an inventory announcement, most of the times an opposite upward trend is in the cards afterwards.

I find that moves such as prompting artificial selling to take long positions after the weekly inventory announcements, or the opposite, are processes that disregard all fundamental and technical equations. This also poses a threat for small-scale traders or investors, who risk losing hard-earned money.

I do not know how long these dynamics will go on. But I wonder how long natural gas prices will be able to ignore Mother Nature.

I think NG will spike up and back down by the end of February because we are at the bottom of the five year average and winter heating demand is not over until then.
Respect... I have no issue with your analysis. Just want to let you know few things:. Dry NG Production is high at 77.5 CBF, supply demand balance is +6.2CBF, power burn is down compared to last year, King Euro (reliable compared to American model) weather model sees no cold snap in their forecast. Good Luck.
Dear Mr. Scorpion thanks a lot for your valuable comments. I always love to have your precious comments on my analysis. You are absolutely right on your every point. I highlighted all these issues in my analysis https://www.investing.com/analysis/natural-gas--will-bulls-be-able-to-sustain-at-the-eightweek-peak-level--200282701 on January 23rd, 2018 when Natural Gas future price formed the recent peak at $3.623 but at that time most of the readers criticized me a lot with filthy comments. Since January 23rd, 2018 you can see what levels Natural Gas futures price have touched on February 1st, 2018. Thanks once again for your kind regards and presenting a valuable anti-thesis. I really love to read an anti-thesis on my analysis, but I hate when someone comments with filthy words just to come out of his frustration what he creates by being on the wrong side.
Thanks for your comments. Sad to see people using foul language. I always read all analysis here. I sometimes had opposing view on what you write. I am mindful to avoid usage any harsh words and be respectful to the contributor. However, I take this opportunity to say sorry if you ever found me rude or mean in my past comments. It is I am not being me at times.
....prompting artificial selling to take long positions ?? what's  'artificial about it'? please explain. . " small-scale traders or investors, who risk losing hard-earned money." - NG investing should be in play or Gamble money and not hard-earned money. NG trading is dictated by big boys and charts, technicals and fundamentals mean very little (IMO)
It saddens me to see that people use foul language at the author Satindra Singh. He is just expressing his views and if you disagree say so respectfully and not call him names and curse him so badly. He expressed deep regrets on that and I feel bad for him. Guys,  be nice. Saying this in a nice way, giving respect to people does not cost anything and only makes you a better person.  Thank you all. Keep writing Sir, It is up to readers to get what they want from your views.
Of-course foul language is unnecessary but we should be able to distinguish between competence or incompetence. Feeling sorry for the "wrong analysis" at a global level is not in my vocabulary.
then don't read, make your own analysis...see if any one cares?
sir we are waiting for your analysis om zinc and lead
Finally your are always right, and i read you always knowing that timing is very difficult.  Storage will continue to fall significantly, even if there is different cold weather forecasts: anyway february will be cold in the consuming areas.  Thank a lot Mr Singh
every fundamental is being ignored but u keep putting your analysis on the fundamentals which never works, insane
got to love you , keep up the good work
Keep writing, I appreciate that you do very hard work and post detail analysis with note worthy charts. Natural Gas unfortunately fails the analyst many a times because of its insane behavior and volatility.
: natural gas is a very hard commodity ... so it is the commodity to follow and understand!   Don't give up, don't listen to sad people.
Thanks , Satendra Sir, I will really appreciate it
