Platinum for the last eleven months has been consolidating. The low end of the range is around $890 and the high end of the range around $1050. The current low price is an opportunity to buy at the low end of the range. When the price rallies to the upper end of the range that will be a 15% profit, and that can be achieved in a few months. The downside risk is at most 13% and that is if the platinum prices go down to $800 an ounce. To limit the downside risk, commodity traders should not leverage more than 2 to 1.
