This morning, the S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES-U3) are trading lower by 1.00 point to 1669.00 per contract. Traders and investors are holding the markets steady as they try to digest the earnings reports from JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM), and Wells Fargo & Co (WFC). Both companies slightly beat analysts expectations, but the accounting from these gigantic institutions are always complicated. Either way, the stock market reaction is all that matters.
Last night, the leading Asian stock indexes were mixed. The important Shanghai Composite Index (China) finished lower by 1.62 percent. This leading stock index remains very volatile. The Bombay Sensex Index (India) was the big winner in Asia finishing higher by 1.44 percent. Traders should watch for strength in many of the leading Indian ADR's if the U.S. markets are strong. Some leading Indian ADR's that could be in play today include Tata Motors Limited (ADR) (TTM), Infosys Ltd ADR (INFY), Wipro Limited (ADR) (WIT), and the India Fund, Inc. (IFN).
