Foresight Autonomous Holdings (TA:FRST) has announced that 32%-owned Rail Vision (RV) is to undertake a second field test of its advanced driver automation system for trains with an unnamed major European train operator. The trial will be split over two weeks and management believes that it will thoroughly evaluate the capabilities of RV’s recently enhanced systems. The rail operator has not been identified, but with revenues of over €40bn and 300k employees, it looks to be one of the larger operators in Europe. If successful in this and any follow-on pilot phase, we see potential for sizeable future order flow, as well as accelerated adoption by other rail operators.
FRST has announced that 32%-owned Rail Vision is to undertake a second field test of its advanced driver automation system for the railways with an unnamed major European train company. The trial will be split over two weeks and RV management believes it will thoroughly evaluate its system’s capabilities. In week one, the system will be tested in the company’s indoor testing area. The tests will also trial an enhanced version of RV’s system via a new sensor installed specifically for alerting drivers to the presence of humans on the track at long distances. In these tests the focus will also be on testing the system in typical European winter conditions.
