Morning Notes
US Futures are pointing slightly lower this morning as markets await President Trump’s tax reform proposal. European stocks drifted lower as the price of crude slid by -0.65% putting energy producing stocks under pressure. Central Bank meetings by the ECB and the BOJ take are being held tomorrow and markets will look for clues as to the economic factors that may influence market action. Asian stocks closed mostly higher.
Technicals
The SPY (NYSE:SPY) held another gap higher throughout yesterday’s session and closed out just off the intraday highs. Support will lie at low of yesterday’s range at $237.81, followed by the high of Monday’s range at $237.41, then the former recent descending resistance at $236.45, followed by the recent pivot point at $236.30, the 50SMA at $235.84, the high of Friday’s range and the 20EMA at $235.32 Resistance will lie at the high of yesterday’s range at $238.95, followed by $239.20, $239.44, $239.57, and record highs at $240.32.
