Fast food chain Chipotle (NYSE:CMG) is set to launch a new crypto game today, "Buy the Dip," to give away $200,000 worth of cryptocurrencies and promo codes.

Chipotle unveiled its new interactive crypto game, “Buy the Dip,” to give away a total of $200,000 worth of cryptocurrencies and promo codes for 1-cent guac and 1-cent Queso Blanco through July 31, National Avocado Day. The fast food giant said the game is expected to “engage fans in a stock market simulation to ‘buy the dip’ at its lowest point.”

Chance to Win $200K Worth of BTC, ETH, SOL, AVAX, and DOGE

American fast food chain Chipotle said it is launching a crypto game dubbed “Buy the Dip,” through which the company plans to give away $200,000 worth of cryptocurrencies to those who play. Players will earn a chance to win several popular cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Dogecoin, and use them to pay for Chipotle food. Players can also earn promo codes for 1-cent guac and 1-cent Queso Blanco.

Buy the Dip is set to launch Monday at 10 am PT on the official website. The game will be available every day from 10 am PT to 6 pm PT through Sunday, July 31 – the National Avocado Day.

The move marks the latest major push in the crypto gaming space, a few months after the crypto exchange FTX U.S. announced the launch of its crypto gaming division. Gaming retailer GameStop (NYSE:GME) also launched its long-awaited NFT marketplace earlier this month, which is also expected to roll out Web3 games in the future. “We want to build the next generation of Chipotle fandom by connecting with the Web3 community. We’re excited to bring positivity to the crypto conversation by empowering fans to ‘Buy The Dip.'”

After navigating the website, players must create and sign into their Chipotle Rewards account. Then, a “How To Play” screen will pop up to provide players with instructions for the new interactive game.

Once they click “Play Now,” players will get a chance to win free cryptocurrencies, 1-cent guac, or 1-cent Questo Blanco. If one wins a prize, they will have 15 seconds to Claim or Swap the award, with the latter allowing players to compete for a different prize. If they do not win a prize, they can “Try Again” to get another chance. All players will have three chances each day through Jul. 31.

Chipotle’s Second Crypto Gaming Feat

“Buy the Dip” is not Chipotle’s first gaming crypto giveaway. Earlier this year, the fast food company teamed up with the online game Roblox to give away $100,000 in Bitcoin and $100,000 in free burritos to the first players who made a burrito in the Chipotle Burrito Builder video game.

Chipotle then added its currency on Roblox, known as Burrito Bucks, allowing Chipotle Burrito Builder players to trade their Burrito Bucks for free food codes at certain Chipotle locations. The game was launched in honor of National Burrito Day.

Last month, Chipotle partnered with pure-digital payments provider Flexa to allow crypto payments. Customers can now pay for their favorite Chipotle food with 98 different digital currencies using a Flexa-enabled app.
