Canopy Growth Corp (NYSE:CGC), recently listed on the NYSE after the huge run-up, having gone from 5.00 to 35, and change, a 7-fold increase. It then came down, based out, broke out, pulled back, and it’s moving again, jumping 1.53, or 5.25%, to 30.65, on a solid 2.8 million shares on Monday. It was one of the biggest volume days since January. Anything above 31.31, and I think it is headed for a retest of near 36. Eventually, I think we are going to see this stock make a bigger move. Midchannel comes in at 40-42. That will be my secondary target. So targets are 35-6 and 40-2.
Gemphire Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:GEMP) had another good follow-through day on Monday, making it the third day in a row now, going from the 5.85 range to Monday's high of 7.46. It was up 40 cents, or 6%, to 7.12, on 266,854 shares traded. There’s a little bit of resistance in the 7.82 zone, but if it gets through that and tests the higher-high around 8 1/4, then it’s on its way to 10-11.
HTG Molecular Diagnostics Inc (NASDAQ:HTGM) made an important move on Monday, popping 22 cents, or 5.63%, to 4.13, on a million shares. That was bigger volume but not great. Still, that could be the beginning of a bigger move. It was up seven days in a row, taking out the May high at 4.40, and then about 4.80. Once it gets through that zone, if it does, targets are 5.15, and then 5.75-.80. Those are the levels to watch out for resistance going forward.
Xencor Inc (NASDAQ:XNCR), a swing trade of ours, is working out nicely. It broke out of a base, ran up sharply, consolidated for a month, popped out of a wedge, and has been running up ver since. On Monday, it gained another 1.09, or 2.64%, to 42.36, on 367,239 shares traded. Targets are 46-7, and beyond that 54-5.
