OppenheimerFunds is a subsidiary of MassMutual, one of the leading asset managers, with around $600 billion assets under management along with its affiliates. OppenheimerFunds was founded in 1959 and has over 2,000 employees and 170 investment professionals serving clients, including financial advisors, individual investors and institutional investors, across 77 countries. It has more than $229 billion worth of assets (as of Oct 31, 2018) under management invested in 76 mutual funds across a wide range of categories, including equity, fixed income, alternative and multi asset funds.

Oppenheimer Gold & Special Minerals Y OGMYX invests mainly in common stocks of companies involved in mining, processing or dealing with gold. OGMYX seeks growth of capital. The fund may also invest nearly one-fourth of its assets in its subsidiary, the Oppenheimer Gold & Special Minerals Fund Ltd. Oppenheimer Gold & Special Minerals Y fund has a three-year annualized return of 15.1%.

OGMYX has an expense ratio of 0.92% compared to a category average of 1.38%.

Oppenheimer Discovery A OPOCX primarily invests in common stocks of domestic companies with solid growth potential. OPOCX invests in securities of companies having market capitalization similar to those listed on the Russell 2000 Growth Index. The Oppenheimer Discovery A fund has a three-year annualized return of 9%.

Oppenheimer Limited-Term Bond Fund Class Y OUSYX invests the lion’s share of its assets in debt securities issued by both the U.S. government and corporate entities. Oppenheimer Limited-Term Bond Fund Class Y has a three-year annualized return of 1.9%.
