Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Banking and Finance & Investment sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Dubai, the DFM General lost 0.78%, while the ADX General index fell 0.89%.

The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Takaful House (DU:DTKF), which rose 5.56% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.532 at the close. Meanwhile, SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) added 1.99% or 0.011 points to end at 0.565 and ARAMEX PJSC (DU:ARMX) was up 1.27% or 0.040 points to 3.200 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:AMAN), which fell 4.08% or 0.026 points to trade at 0.611 at the close. Damac Properties Dubai Co PSC (DU:DAMAC) declined 2.89% or 0.09 points to end at 3.02 and Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC (DU:GNAV) was down 2.34% or 0.009 points to 0.375.

The top performers on the ADX General were National Marine Dredging PSC (AD:NMDC) which rose 15.00% to 5.29, Natl Bk Of Rak (AD:RAKB) which was up 1.46% to settle at 6.95 and Ad Shipbldg Co (AD:ADSB) which gained 0.71% to close at 2.82.

The worst performers were Arkan Bld Mt C (AD:ARKN) which was down 4.49% to 0.85 in late trade, Green Crs Ins (AD:GCIC) which lost 3.85% to settle at 0.500 and Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which was down 3.57% to 0.540 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 18 to 7 and 2 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 15 fell and 6 advanced, while 1 ended unchanged.

Shares in Arkan Bld Mt C (AD:ARKN) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.49% or 0.04 to 0.85. Shares in Green Crs Ins (AD:GCIC) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.85% or 0.020 to 0.500.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.15% or 0.51 to $44.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.18% or 0.56 to hit $47.90 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 5.50 to trade at $1126.20 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was up 0.00% to 3.6731, while EUR/AED fell 0.11% to 4.1254.

The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 96.14.
