Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Technology and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.96%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which rose 9.68% or 0.640 points to trade at 7.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) added 6.40% or 2.15 points to end at 35.75 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 4.35% or 0.010 points to 0.230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO), which fell 5.93% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.380 at the close. Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) declined 5.60% or 0.20 points to end at 3.37 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was down 4.94% or 0.040 points to 0.770.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 320 to 84 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) rose to all time highs; rising 9.68% or 0.640 to 7.250. Shares in Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) rose to 5-year lows; gaining 4.35% or 0.010 to 0.230.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.82% or 9.70 to $1188.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.65% or 0.39 to hit $60.01 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.03% or 0.67 to trade at $63.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.85% to 2.7367, while EUR/TRY rose 0.82% to 3.0817.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.28.
