Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Information Technology and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.65%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS), which rose 1.86% or 0.13 points to trade at 7.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) added 1.70% or 0.190 points to end at 11.360 and Vestel (IS:VESTL) was up 1.69% or 0.120 points to 7.210 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN), which fell 5.74% or 0.43 points to trade at 7.06 at the close. Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) declined 4.59% or 0.21 points to end at 4.37 and Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) was down 4.54% or 1.72 points to 36.14.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 285 to 60 and 60 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.60% or 8.25 to $1364.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 4.10% or 1.62 to hit $41.13 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 3.88% or 1.62 to trade at $43.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.87% to 3.0162, while EUR/TRY rose 0.18% to 3.3631.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 95.51.
