Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Basic Metals and Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO), which rose 3.43% or 1.750 points to trade at 52.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) added 2.59% or 0.33 points to end at 13.05 and Aksa (IS:AKSA) was up 1.95% or 0.17 points to 8.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which fell 8.37% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.080 at the close. Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) declined 6.79% or 0.530 points to end at 7.280 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) was down 6.25% or 0.050 points to 0.750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 313 to 50 and 42 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.38% or 17.55 to $1290.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.75% or 0.35 to hit $46.51 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.44 to trade at $48.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 3.1148, while EUR/TRY rose 1.36% to 3.4444.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.56% at 97.77.
