Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Otokar (IS:OTKAR), which rose 3.44% or 3.60 points to trade at 108.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) added 2.59% or 0.52 points to end at 20.56 and Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) was up 1.74% or 0.09 points to 5.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which fell 2.71% or 0.110 points to trade at 3.950 at the close. Turkiye Is Bankasi AS C (IS:ISCTR) declined 2.66% or 0.130 points to end at 4.750 and T. Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) was down 2.65% or 0.24 points to 8.82.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 217 to 109 and 80 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.07% or 0.95 to $1326.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.76% or 0.84 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.66% or 0.83 to trade at $49.32 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 2.9554, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 3.3037.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 95.65.
