Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Textile & Leather and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN), which rose 16.57% or 1.10 points to trade at 7.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) added 3.75% or 0.030 points to end at 0.830 and Otokar (IS:OTKAR) was up 2.85% or 2.90 points to 104.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN), which fell 3.83% or 0.310 points to trade at 7.790 at the close. Teknosa IC Ve Dis Ticaret (IS:TKNSA) declined 3.41% or 0.180 points to end at 5.100 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was down 3.13% or 0.020 points to 0.620.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 214 to 106 and 88 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.75% or 0.030 to 0.830.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.45 to $1342.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.57% or 0.27 to hit $47.68 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.85% or 0.42 to trade at $49.58 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 2.9457, while EUR/TRY rose 0.04% to 3.3317.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.49.
