Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Basic Metals and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO), which rose 9.70% or 0.420 points to trade at 4.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) added 5.26% or 0.060 points to end at 1.200 and Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) was up 2.05% or 0.030 points to 1.490 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL), which fell 3.61% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.800 at the close. Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) declined 3.40% or 0.150 points to end at 4.260 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) was down 2.45% or 0.15 points to 5.96.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 221 to 112 and 73 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.21% or 2.75 to $1323.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.46% or 0.22 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.17 to trade at $49.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 3.0004, while EUR/TRY rose 0.18% to 3.3713.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.34.
