Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Technology and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Konya Cimento (IS:KONYA), which rose 10.53% or 30.00 points to trade at 315.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) added 5.88% or 1.50 points to end at 27.00 and Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) was up 5.79% or 1.25 points to 22.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eczacibasi Yatirim (IS:ECZYT), which fell 3.60% or 0.40 points to trade at 10.70 at the close. Aselsan (IS:ASELS) declined 3.46% or 0.50 points to end at 13.95 and Turk Hava Yollari (IS:THYAO) was down 3.22% or 0.300 points to 9.020.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 245 to 157 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1190.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 3.40% or 1.96 to hit $59.64 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 3.41% or 2.13 to trade at $64.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.28% to 2.6614, while EUR/TRY rose 0.60% to 2.9264.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 96.95.
