Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO), which rose 14.94% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) added 3.70% or 0.020 points to end at 0.560 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was up 3.25% or 0.26 points to 8.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 7.90% or 0.87 points to trade at 10.14 at the close. Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) declined 4.29% or 1.58 points to end at 35.24 and Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) was down 3.58% or 0.26 points to 7.01.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 186 to 156 and 65 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.50 to $1327.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.02% or 0.44 to hit $42.69 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $44.92 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.05% to 3.0463, while EUR/TRY fell 0.04% to 3.3482.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
