Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Tourism, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turk Traktor (IS:TTRAK), which rose 2.30% or 1.80 points to trade at 80.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) added 1.27% or 0.040 points to end at 3.180 and Turkiye Is Bankasi AS C (IS:ISCTR) was up 1.01% or 0.050 points to 5.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which fell 3.64% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.060 at the close. Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) declined 3.34% or 0.45 points to end at 13.01 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) was down 2.97% or 0.240 points to 7.840.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 254 to 78 and 71 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.45 to $1269.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.99% or 0.49 to hit $49.23 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.46 to trade at $50.01 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.19% to 3.1079, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 3.3998.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 98.70.
