Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Basic Metals and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Konya Cimento (IS:KONYA), which rose 5.31% or 19.00 points to trade at 376.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Kartonsan (IS:KARTN) added 4.53% or 13.00 points to end at 300.00 and Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) was up 3.50% or 0.200 points to 5.910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.00% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.250 at the close. Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) declined 3.14% or 0.060 points to end at 1.850 and Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS) was down 3.11% or 0.40 points to 12.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 236 to 160 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kartonsan (IS:KARTN) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.53% or 13.00 to 300.00.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.40 to $1081.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.01% or 0.84 to hit $40.91 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.79% or 0.35 to trade at $44.84 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.14% to 2.8609, while EUR/TRY fell 0.93% to 3.0696.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 99.21.
