Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Electricity, Basic Metals and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which rose 18.97% or 0.110 points to trade at 0.690 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 10.20% or 0.200 points to end at 2.160 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 8.96% or 0.190 points to 2.310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AK Enerji (IS:AKENR), which fell 4.95% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.960 at the close. Deva Holding (IS:DEVA) declined 4.19% or 0.190 points to end at 4.350 and Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) was down 3.64% or 1.44 points to 38.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 206 to 120 and 77 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 8.96% or 0.190 to 2.310.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.85 to $1259.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.30% or 0.67 to hit $50.68 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.37% or 0.73 to trade at $52.41 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.38% to 3.0839, while EUR/TRY fell 0.27% to 3.4139.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 97.50.
