Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which rose 7.00% or 0.210 points to trade at 3.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) added 5.88% or 2.30 points to end at 41.40 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) was up 5.45% or 1.35 points to 26.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which fell 2.77% or 0.55 points to trade at 19.30 at the close. Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) declined 2.67% or 0.60 points to end at 21.85 and Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) was down 2.47% or 0.020 points to 0.790.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 216 to 189 and 8 ended unchanged.

Gold for June delivery was down 0.68% or 8.20 to $1194.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.10% or 0.63 to hit $57.95 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.43% or 0.28 to trade at $63.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.66% to 2.6965, while EUR/TRY rose 0.29% to 2.9034.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 97.95.
