Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Sports and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi (IS:CLEBI), which rose 5.18% or 1.75 points to trade at 35.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) added 4.62% or 0.75 points to end at 17.00 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 4.55% or 0.030 points to 0.690 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN), which fell 4.68% or 0.330 points to trade at 6.720 at the close. Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) declined 2.90% or 0.70 points to end at 23.40 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was down 2.16% or 0.45 points to 20.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 244 to 155 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.44% or 5.00 to $1143.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.07% or 1.47 to hit $49.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.03% or 1.55 to trade at $52.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.08% to 2.9084, while EUR/TRY fell 0.70% to 3.2852.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 95.38.
