Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Technology and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Saf Gmyo (IS:SAFGY), which rose 8.00% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.810 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) added 3.93% or 0.60 points to end at 15.87 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) was up 3.91% or 0.050 points to 1.330 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Do-Co (IS:DOCO), which fell 6.54% or 21.20 points to trade at 302.80 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.35% or 0.010 points to end at 0.220 and Tofas Oto. Fab. (IS:TOASO) was down 3.33% or 0.74 points to 21.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 182 to 146 and 79 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.22% or 2.85 to $1274.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.79% or 0.38 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.59% or 0.29 to trade at $49.57 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 2.9672, while EUR/TRY fell 0.28% to 3.3459.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 94.70.
