Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Tourism, Basic Metals and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN), which rose 7.14% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Parsan (IS:PARSN) added 3.61% or 0.310 points to end at 8.890 and Yapi Ve Kredi Bank. (IS:YKBNK) was up 3.05% or 0.120 points to 4.060 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Soda Sanayii (IS:SODA), which fell 5.37% or 0.260 points to trade at 4.580 at the close. Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) declined 2.87% or 0.22 points to end at 7.45 and Do-Co (IS:DOCO) was down 2.81% or 9.00 points to 311.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 167 to 165 and 77 ended unchanged.
Shares in Parsan (IS:PARSN) rose to all time highs; rising 3.61% or 0.310 to 8.890.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.63% or 7.65 to $1212.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.87% or 0.43 to trade at $49.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.65% to 2.9548, while EUR/TRY rose 0.06% to 3.2908.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 95.50.
