Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Information Technology and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 3.40%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 20.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 0.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 19.18% or 0.140 points to end at 0.870 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) was up 10.20% or 0.050 points to 0.540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA), which fell 0.81% or 0.30 points to trade at 36.82 at the close. Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) declined 0.41% or 0.03 points to end at 7.27 and Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.170.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 366 to 19 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.29% or 3.90 to $1327.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.42% or 1.07 to hit $43.12 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.15% or 0.99 to trade at $45.10 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.01% to 3.0389, while EUR/TRY fell 0.96% to 3.3378.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.40.
