Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Metal Products & Machinery, Food & Beverages and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.45%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS), which rose 5.56% or 0.32 points to trade at 6.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) added 5.24% or 1.86 points to end at 37.36 and Arcelik (IS:ARCLK) was up 5.08% or 0.98 points to 20.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Good-Year (IS:GOODY), which fell 4.30% or 0.19 points to trade at 4.23 at the close. Saf Gmyo (IS:SAFGY) declined 3.23% or 0.030 points to end at 0.900 and AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) was down 1.90% or 0.020 points to 1.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 265 to 79 and 64 ended unchanged.
Shares in Arcelik (IS:ARCLK) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.08% or 0.98 to 20.28.
Gold for August delivery was up 2.44% or 29.60 to $1242.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.89% or 0.44 to hit $48.73 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.72% or 0.36 to trade at $49.68 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.49% to 2.9048, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 3.2929.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.51% at 94.12.
