Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Insurance, Telecoms and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.11% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 12.81% or 0.310 points to trade at 2.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) added 5.57% or 1.60 points to end at 30.35 and Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) was up 5.02% or 0.150 points to 3.140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AK Enerji (IS:AKENR), which fell 4.88% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.170 at the close. Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS) declined 3.23% or 0.45 points to end at 13.50 and Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) was down 2.45% or 6.50 points to 258.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 278 to 122 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.57% or 1.60 to 30.35.
Gold for June delivery was down 1.42% or 16.90 to $1177.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.25% or 0.72 to hit $57.02 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.29% or 0.18 to trade at $65.03 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.59% to 2.7174, while EUR/TRY rose 1.00% to 2.9558.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 97.06.
