Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Holdings & Investments and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.84% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which rose 16.83% or 0.85 points to trade at 5.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) added 8.02% or 0.190 points to end at 2.560 and Vestel (IS:VESTL) was up 6.82% or 0.410 points to 6.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Good-Year (IS:GOODY), which fell 6.13% or 8.70 points to trade at 133.30 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) declined 3.05% or 1.28 points to end at 40.72 and Do-Co (IS:DOCO) was down 1.34% or 4.60 points to 338.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 260 to 85 and 64 ended unchanged.

Gold for June delivery was down 0.25% or 3.00 to $1220.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.54% or 0.20 to hit $36.59 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.93% or 0.36 to trade at $38.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.35% to 2.8116, while EUR/TRY fell 0.45% to 3.2019.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.55.
