Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Information Technology, Transport and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.56% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO), which rose 6.98% or 3.400 points to trade at 52.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogus Otomotiv (IS:DOAS) added 5.51% or 0.63 points to end at 12.06 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) was up 4.87% or 1.16 points to 24.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 3.03% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.320 at the close. Saf Gmyo (IS:SAFGY) declined 1.14% or 0.010 points to end at 0.870 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was down 0.96% or 0.05 points to 5.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 275 to 73 and 60 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.12% or 1.65 to $1360.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.08% or 0.49 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.07% or 0.50 to trade at $46.26 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.49% to 2.9055, while EUR/TRY rose 0.50% to 3.2107.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 96.64.
