Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Tourism and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.38% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which rose 19.96% or 6.60 points to trade at 39.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) added 3.49% or 1.28 points to end at 37.92 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) was up 3.44% or 0.23 points to 6.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which fell 2.30% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.850 at the close. Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) declined 1.73% or 0.13 points to end at 7.39 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) was down 1.27% or 0.100 points to 7.800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 256 to 75 and 78 ended unchanged.
Shares in Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) rose to 52-week highs; up 19.96% or 6.60 to 39.66.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.39% or 4.95 to $1262.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.44% or 0.73 to hit $50.12 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.31% or 0.68 to trade at $51.10 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.00% to 3.0810, while EUR/TRY rose 0.04% to 3.3546.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 98.72.
