Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 11.87% or 0.190 points to trade at 1.790 at the close. Meanwhile, Adel Kalemcilik (IS:ADEL) added 8.21% or 4.80 points to end at 63.30 and Konya Cimento (IS:KONYA) was up 7.29% or 23.00 points to 338.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Saf Gmyo (IS:SAFGY) declined 2.70% or 0.030 points to end at 1.080 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was down 2.61% or 0.35 points to 13.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 295 to 104 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.59% or 7.00 to $1179.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.48% or 0.91 to hit $60.52 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 0.86 to trade at $64.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.17% to 2.7035, while EUR/TRY fell 1.87% to 3.0408.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 95.17.
