Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Information Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.20% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which rose 17.66% or 4.90 points to trade at 32.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Holding (IS:METRO) added 8.51% or 0.080 points to end at 1.020 and Celebi (IS:CLEBI) was up 6.03% or 1.90 points to 33.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC), which fell 2.54% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.070 at the close. Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) declined 1.90% or 0.07 points to end at 3.62 and Menderes Tekstil (IS:MNDRS) was down 1.64% or 0.010 points to 0.610.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 172 and 10 ended unchanged.

Gold for June delivery was up 0.12% or 1.50 to $1226.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.40% or 0.24 to hit $60.30 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.73% or 0.48 to trade at $66.33 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 2.5781, while EUR/TRY fell 0.80% to 2.9264.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.76% at 94.00.
