Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Tourism and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which rose 6.90% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.860 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) added 4.82% or 0.34 points to end at 7.39 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) was up 4.19% or 0.390 points to 9.690 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which fell 3.88% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.990 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 3.33% or 0.010 points to end at 0.290 and Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) was down 3.23% or 0.60 points to 17.96.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 225 to 112 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.19% or 0.390 to 9.690.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.60% or 7.85 to $1290.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.86% or 1.32 to hit $47.53 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 3.14% or 1.48 to trade at $48.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 2.9297, while EUR/TRY rose 0.27% to 3.2994.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 94.44.
