Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Electricity and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus (IS:PGSUS), which rose 10.46% or 1.240 points to trade at 13.090 at the close. Meanwhile, Aksa Enerji (IS:AKSEN) added 6.93% or 0.160 points to end at 2.470 and Anadolu Cam (IS:ANACM) was up 5.48% or 0.120 points to 2.310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which fell 2.76% or 0.17 points to trade at 6.00 at the close. Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) declined 2.37% or 0.72 points to end at 29.60 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) was down 2.12% or 0.16 points to 7.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 207 to 135 and 61 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.26% or 3.55 to $1344.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.06 to hit $43.08 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.06 to trade at $45.33 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.51% to 2.9674, while EUR/TRY fell 0.30% to 3.2976.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 96.11.
