Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Sports, Tourism and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which rose 5.09% or 1.28 points to trade at 26.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) added 5.05% or 0.22 points to end at 4.58 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was up 4.12% or 0.080 points to 2.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 3.01% or 0.54 points to trade at 17.42 at the close. Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) declined 1.92% or 0.150 points to end at 7.650 and Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) was down 1.22% or 0.160 points to 12.910.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 189 to 128 and 91 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was up 1.01% or 13.25 to $1331.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.61% or 1.15 to hit $45.20 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.01% or 0.92 to trade at $46.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.10% to 2.9752, while EUR/TRY rose 0.01% to 3.3216.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 95.77.
