Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Otokar (IS:OTKAR), which rose 4.50% or 5.20 points to trade at 120.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkcell (IS:TCELL) added 2.52% or 0.24 points to end at 9.78 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) was up 2.27% or 0.160 points to 7.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which fell 5.08% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.240 at the close. Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) declined 4.46% or 0.100 points to end at 2.140 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was down 4.11% or 0.090 points to 2.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 165 to 145 and 96 ended unchanged.
Shares in Otokar (IS:OTKAR) rose to all time highs; up 4.50% or 5.20 to 120.70.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.80% or 9.75 to $1207.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.99% or 0.45 to hit $44.97 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.95% or 0.44 to trade at $46.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.37% to 3.3816, while EUR/TRY fell 0.16% to 3.5774.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 101.46.
